Zach Wiens

About

Zach Wiens is an aerospace engineer in the Department of Space Operations where he contributes to a wide range of missions and projects. He supported the PUNCH mission (launched 2025) through launch and early operations and continues as a mission operator, supporting the areas of flight dynamics and mission planning. He works on the CYNGSS mission (launched 2016) and the upcoming QuickSounder mission. He also designs and analyzes orbits for future mission concepts, including low-Earth, cislunar, and interplanetary regimes. He earned a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Kansas and a M.S. in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder with a focus in Astrodynamics and Satellite Navigation.
