Dr. Erickson is Senior Research Analyst in the Department of Space Operations, joining SwRI in 2021. He has worked extensively on AI&T support for the PUNCH mission on the Wide Field Imager (WFI) instrument, and is currently AI&T lead for the SwSCOR instrument. Dr. Erickson specializes in space hardware and instrumentation, serving multiple roles and ultimately guiding missions from conceptual design through successful launch and science operations. Dr. Erickson has a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Colorado and a B.S. In Physics from The College of New Jersey and led an ultraviolet sounding rocket mission (DEUCE) during his graduate studies.
