Dr. Momchil Molnar is a solar physicist with expertise in solar spectropolarimetry, radiative transfer, inversion techniques, and machine learning. His research focuses on solar atmospheric diagnostics, eruptive prominence magnetism, and the development of physics-informed machine learning approaches for heliophysics and planetary science applications. Dr. Molnar is a member of the NASA/ESA Solar Orbiter SPICE Instrument Consortium, where he analyzes ultraviolet and extreme-ultraviolet observations to study coronal plasma properties and dynamics. He was the Principal Investigator of the CHEESE eclipse experiment conducted during the April 2024 total solar eclipse. He received his B.Sc. from MIT and his Ph.D. from the University of Colorado Boulder.
