Mars Initiative Under Way

The Department of Space Studies is leading SwRI's Initiative for Mars (SwIM). SwIM's goal is to increase the base of Mars work taking place in Boulder and in San Antonio. This will be accomplished through various means, including seed money to fund competitively selected internal research projects, by hiring several senior Mars scientists, and by raising interest in Mars research topics via special colloquia.
