Solar Group Expands
The Department's solar physics effort has grown rapidly since late 1999.
This expansion began with the addition of
Dr. Craig DeForest, formerly of
Stanford and NASA/GSFC. The group's expansion continued with the addition
of Eric Buchlin, who is visiting from France for the first half of 2000.
Both DeForest and Buchlin are experts in the physics of the solar corona.
Dr. Donald Hassler leads the Department's solar physics group.
