Awards to be Given to SwRI/Boulder Scientists

Two scientists will be the recipients of awards in 2011.

Bill Bottke will soon be announced as the first recipient of the Paolo Farinella Prize of the European European Planetary Science Congress (EPSC). The prize recognizes outstanding contributions to the study of small solar system bodies.

In addition, Bill Ward will receive the Kuiper Prize, which recognizes and honors outstanding contributors to planetary science. It is awarded to scientists whose achievements have most advanced our understanding of the planetary system. Both scientists will be speaking at the upcoming EPSC-DPS Joint Meeting 2011 in Nantes, France in October, 2011.
