Jillian Redfern is the Assistant Director of the Department of Space Operations in the Solar System Science and Exploration Division of Southwest Research Institute. During her 20+ years at SwRI, she has participated in Science and Mission Operations Centers. Her experience on space missions includes data analysis for the Solar Wind Around Pluto (SWAP) instrument of the New Horizons Mission, the Ion Electron Sensor (IES) aboard the Rosetta Mission, the Two Wide-angle Imaging Neutral-atom Spectrometers (TWINS), the Cassini Plasma Spectrometer (CAPS) aboard CASSINI, the Radio Plasma Imaging (RPI) instrument aboard IMAGE, and Interstellar Boundary Explorer (IBEX). Ms. Redfern was a member of the New Horizons Pluto flyby team as a SciOps representative for the Alice and Ralph instruments. Ms. Redfern was the New Horizons Science Operations Center (SOC) Downlink Manager where she oversaw the SOC pipeline and archiving to the Planetary Data System (PDS) during the Arrokoth flyby. Ms. Redfern currently is the Phase E Mission Operations Center (MOC) Lead and Project Manager for the NASA Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System (CYGNSS) mission and the NASA Polarimeter to Unify the Corona and Heliosphere (PUNCH) mission as well as the Data Management Lead for the JUNO Science Operations Center (JSOC) team.
