What about other Systems?
- Important parameters are:
- Mass and luminosity of the star.
- Mass of solids in the disk.
- Lifetime of gaseous nebula.
- Very little has been done.
- Wetherill (1996) has looked at different disk and star masses.
- But, long enough ago that he had to use approximate, Monte-Carlo methods.
- Kokubo & Ida (2002) looked at disk mass, but only to the end of oligarchic growth.
- But, they tried to guess what the planetary system will look like.
- Levison & Agnor (2003) has looked at the role that giant planets play.
- But, we kept the the mass of the star and disk mass constant.
- A few specific systems have been looked at.
- 47 Ursae Majoris (Laughlin et al. 2002).
-
Centauri (Quintana et al. 2002).
