Conclusions
- Giant planet systems can play an important role in the formation
of terrestrial planets:
- This is because they can excite eccentricities of the embryos.
- If embryos are excited:
- Fewer planets will grow
- They will tend to grow at the inner edge of the system.
- Giant planets can also greatly effect the habitability of
terrestrial planets.
- The terrestrial planets can be dry.
- They can have a high impact flux.
