Conclusions
  • Giant planet systems can play an important role in the formation of terrestrial planets:
    • This is because they can excite eccentricities of the embryos.

  • If embryos are excited:
    • Fewer planets will grow
    • They will tend to grow at the inner edge of the system.


  • Giant planets can also greatly effect the habitability of terrestrial planets.
    • The terrestrial planets can be dry.
    • They can have a high impact flux.
