The Early Lunar Impact Rate
We can combine all that I talked about to get an impact rate on the Moon.
NOTE!
We really do not know these numbers very well yet.
Indeed, a couple I simply invented.
I believe we can get reasonable numbers with a lot more work.
Have said this, we get:
We predict roughly a bimodal distribution.
So, some basins may be associated with leftover planetesimals.
While, the late basins must be due to the outer Solar System.
