RECON event improvement TNO list

This is a list of TNOs with current positional errors between 0.2 and 2 arcseconds. These objects have interesting appulses but the occultation ground tracks are too uncertain to be successfully observed. New astrometry is needed to refine the predictions. All of these objects are of interest to RECON. A CSV file is also provided.

The positions and circumstances are computed for 2023/07/05 00:00:00 UT

Each line is one object whose idenfication is given in the first column along with its dynamical classification according to the Deep Ecliptic Survey classification system. The number of potential events in the next 2.5 years is listed under Nev. The absolute magnitude of the object is given under Hv. Note that only objects with Hv<9 are tabulated. The current ephemeris error of the object is given under PosErr in arc-seconds. The current J2000 position is given under RA/Dec. The column labeled Arc indicates the time from the first to the last astrometric measurement. The next column, Since, indicates how long it has been since the object has been measured. The RECON objects (in green) are those that are far enough north to be seen by the network and will have an arc longer than 10 years if observed tonight. Nobs gives the total number of measurements to date. The final three columns give some observing circumstances: Selong = solar elongation, Rate = sky motion rate in arcsec/hour, and the apparent magnitude given by Vmag. The list has been filtered to suppress those objects with Selong<60 and Rate<1.
