People interested in the field trip should be
aware that return flights from Colorado Springs
are no more costly than from Denver and are
available on most major carriers (American,
United, Northwest, US Air, Continental, etc.).
That avoids a long drive to, and across to the
other side of, the Denver metro area.

There are also several flights daily out of
Pueblo (closest to Trinidad) and Alamosa
(nearly as close -- see Great Sand Dunes National
Park on the way), although your ticket price
goes up.
