Subject: UPDATE on Binaries2 Worskhop From: Bill Merline Date: Fri, 25 Jun 2010 07:13:36 -0600 Dear Participants: We are only a few weeks away from the Binaries 2 Workshop in Poznan. Thank you all for your registrations and hotel reservations. We now have slightly more participants than we had for the Binaries 1 Workshop in Steamboat Springs, and this workshop promises to be exciting. There are a few things that need immediate attention, so please have a look at this list and try to attend to them soon if any apply to you: 1. Our participant list includes those that have either sent a workshop registration form OR made a hotel reservation. Please be sure that you have done BOTH. 2. We have at this point only a few participants that have sent us your flight number and day/time of arrival. This will be necessary to arrange the shuttle buses from airport to hotel. Please send this information as soon as possible. 3. There still seem to be some abstracts that have not been submitted. They can be rather informal. But we do need a title immediately and an abstract very soon to set the program. Other announcements: 1. The opening reception will be consist of more substantial food and drink than had been indicated on the workshop web site. It will be a garden party with food, wine, and beer. Offerings will include sour soup (typical Polish soup), grilled pork, sausages, and trout, grilled vegetables and vegetable skewers, baked potatoes, and other traditional fare. So you can plan this as a meal. Nominal start time would be 8 PM, but we will attempt to match this to the arrival time of participants. 2. We expect from here forward, we will post updates such as this not only to a direct email to participants, but also to the workshop web page for future reference. We look forward to seeing all of you in Poznan and a productive workshop! Agnieszka & Bill
